It’s almost time for your new countertops! Here’s everything you need to know before, during, and after installation to make the process smooth, safe, and successful.
Prep Your Space
Remove old countertops and appliances unless otherwise arranged with our team.
Clear a path from the entrance to the work area (including doorways, hallways, and stairs).
Cover nearby furniture, vents, or floors if you’re concerned about dust—we’ll do our best to minimize it, but installation is a construction process.
Utility Coordination
Schedule a plumber or electrician to reconnect your sink, cooktop, or other fixtures after install is complete (usually the next day).
Keep Pets Safe
Please secure any pets in another room or area—they may be curious or protective, and we’ll be carrying heavy materials and tools through your home.
Who Needs to Be There
A decision-maker over 18 must be on-site throughout the install to confirm final layout and sign off on completed work.

Install your new countertops
Clean the work area
Please keep children and pets away from the work zone at all times.
If we're unable to install, no adult is present, or the appointment is canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice, a $150 re-trip fee may apply.
What Happens Next
Reconnect plumbing and appliances after install.

What if my new cabinets aren’t installed yet?
Cabinets must be fully installed, level, and secured before we can template or install. If they aren't ready, we'll need to reschedule and a trip fee may apply.
Does my new sink need to be at the house before the template?
Yes — any sinks, faucets, and cooktops must be onsite at the time of template to ensure proper measurements and cutouts.
Can you reconnect my plumbing after the counters are installed?
We recommend scheduling a plumber or electrician for the day after installation. In some areas, Tile Outlet & Granite may offer this service for an additional fee — ask your sales associate for availability.
What if something comes up and I need to reschedule?
Please notify us at least 48 hours before your scheduled template or install to avoid a $150 re-trip fee.
When is my final payment due?
Final payment is due upon completion of your installation. You may inspect everything before paying.
